           Question 2(a).

            Describe and provide an example of each of the five(5) characteristics of high quality information.

There are five characteristic of high quality information. Firstly is completeness. Completeness is where we must to give the correct information about ourself.For example, when we want to buy any product from online business, we have to make sure that we give the complete information such as full address and full name with the correct spelled.

Secondly is accuracy. Accuracy is where the information that we have to record it correctly and accurately. Usually, people will give inaccurate information in order to protect their privacy. But, when we talk about high quality information, people must give their correct information. For example ,Ali has give his full name, full address and correct phone number in order to buy shoes from  the online business.

Next, consistency. Consistency is which aggregate or summary information in agreement with detailed information or not. For example, after we have deal with our contract, we must ensure that we and the other person are follow the agreement. They cannot breach the contract.

Then, uniqueness is where each transaction, entity and event just represented only once in the information. As an example, we cannot found all items that we buy, can be also exactly same as the other person bought. There is the uniqueness where just one person is represented.

Lastly is timeliness. Timeliness is the information current with respect to the business requirement. In other words is, information must have the timeliness. For example, the information or post in your blog has the timeliness where you must update it hourly, daily or weekly.

State five (5) potential business effects resulting from using low quality information in making decision.

  •        Inability to accurately track customers, which directly affects strategic initiatives.
  •    Difficulty identifying the organization’s most valuable customers.
  •    Difficulty tracking revenue because inaccurate invoices.
  •    Inability to build strong relationships with customers.
  •   Inability to identify selling opportunities and wasted revenue from marketing to non existing customers and non deliverable mail.

List, describe, and provide an example of each of the five (5) characteristics of high quality
information.

There are five characteristic of high quality information. Firstly is completeness. Completeness is where we must to give the correct information about ourself.For example, when we want to buy any product from online business, we have to make sure that we give the complete information such as full address and full name with the correct spelled.

Using the wrong information can lead to making the wrong decision. Briefly explain five 
(5) potential business effects resulting from low quality.

Firstly, the effects from low quality is inability to accurately track customers, which directly affects strategic initiatives. For example, public give the inaccurate information about their self such as address to the organization.

Secondly is difficulty identifying the organization’s most valuable customers. For example, sometimes public give incomplete information such as the address that not write correctly including street, city, state and zip code.

Thirdly is difficulty tracking revenue because inaccurate invoices. For example, in the organization where the employee write the inaccurate invoice make the upper level management cannot correctly tracking the company revenue.

Fourthly is inability to build strong relationships with customers. For example, cannot create awareness among the organization and the customer.

Lastly is inability to identify selling opportunities and wasted revenue from marketing to non existing customers and non deliverable mail. For example, an organization didn't well prepared research for their company performance.
